The Problem with the Biden Administration.

The central problem with the Biden Administration is that people are not being selected for top jobs based on merit but on gender and race preferences.

This will rapidly lead to gross, even dangerous, ineffectiveness and abuse when linked primarily to advancing woke ideology rather than cost benefit service for the American people.

We are seeing appointees pushing radical agendas in positions and ministries that should be disconnected to issues of race and gender.

The latest in a long list of questionable appointees is the elevation of Rachel Levine to become the US Health Secretary.

Levine has a more lethal record than NYS Governor Andrew Cuomo for the crime of forcibly inserting Covid infected patients into elderly nursing homes leading to the death of thousands.

Pennsylvania is the most populous state for Covid deaths in nursing homes. At least 50% or more occurred in Levine’s elderly facilities under Levine’s direct orders. These figures are considered to be under-recorded and there are ongoing demands for more transparency by the state.

In Levine's case, she removed her own mother before admitting infected patients into her mother's Pennsylvania facility, a luxury she did not afford other concerned families.

Where Cuomo is, rightly, being investigated and hopefully punished and demoted for his crime, Levine is not only getting away scot free, she has been promoted as top honcho in the nation's health elite.

Reading through Levine’s CV it seems she was more involved with gender, race and transgender awareness in her state yet failed with central issues such as the pandemic in which her state has an appalling record.

The risk to the public of a Health Secretary putting an obsessive trans agenda ahead of other vital needs has been overlooked in their rush to appoints the first trans minister.

In an exchange with Senator Rand Paul in a Senate hearing, Levine refused to admit or deny that she favors indoctrinating children to reimagine themselves becoming a member of the other sex, or assisting them with medical and surgical "benefits" of a physical transition out of their natural sex and into an adopted gender. She parried his searching questions with non-answers.

This brings me to my central point.

The celebration of the advance of people of differing race, culture and gender should not be considered the prime qualification for any nationally responsible position.

It is merit based on actual accomplishments that must be the first qualification, not the second.

Particularly in the service of a country, race, gender and culture must always follow, not lead, the list of priorities required to be a leader. The jury is still out on Rachel Levine.

This balance is vitally important for the physical and psychological health of any country.

Israel seems to have got that balance right. The jury is still out on America, but the omens are not good.

Something Gruesomely Weird is Happening in America.

Something gruesome and weird happened in America (where else?).
A man walked into a grocery store in Colorado and shot dead ten shoppers.
After watching the video of the shooter being arrested by the police, the race-obsessed media fell over themselves to describe the perpetrator as "a white man."
One up for the cancel culture race mob.
Woke race-baiters eagerly tweeted messages along the social media grapevine that this was a white crime.
Except the name of the balding pale looking gunman was given as Ahmed Al Aliwi Al-Issa, and that caused a problem for the anti-white hunters.
They couldn't call someone with a name like Ahmed Al-Issa a white man and get away with it no matter how pale his skin was. And, if his name does not cast him as white, no matter what his skin texture is, they are caught on a hypocrisy hook of their own making.
This is where these twisted progressives have taken us.
Amy Siskind was one of those knee-jerk judgmental idiots who got caught with an embarrassing tweet on 22 March in which she said, "It was almost certainly a white man (again)," referring to the killer. "If he were Black or Brown he would be dead."
When she learned the identity of the mass murderer she raced to her Twitter account to plead to her circle of judgmental fools with an air of pious hypocrisy, "Let's mourn for the victims, but not glorify the killer by having his name known."
Of course not. If he had been a real Caucasian she would have blasted his name in capital letters. But Ahmed? Let's keep his identity anonymous. We don't want to be caught calling out brown Muslims. That would be racist.
Twitter exposes the identity of the woke race-bating loonies, even as they support woke racism.
Another perpetrator, Meena Harris, tweeted about the Atlanta killer by saying "Violent white men are the greatest terrorist threat in our country."
Speaking as the founder of the Netanya Terror Victims Organisation in Israel, as we approach the anniversary of the Park Hotel Passover massacre when a decidedly non-white suicide bomber murdered 35 Jewish men and women at prayer, including elderly Holocaust survivors, and as an observer of America's history of terrorism, I can truthfully inform and educate Harris and Siskind that they are wrong and blindly dumb about the Atlanta massacre.
Harris deleted her original tweet to cover her tracks by claiming that the majority of mass shootings in the US "are carried out by white men."
Wrong again!
Twitter played its part in the confused woke mindset. It told Newsweek that characterizing Syrian Muslim Ahmed Al Aliwi A-Issa as a "white Christian terrorist" does not violate its misinformation policies."
That's a head-scratcher. If this does meet their community standards what does?
You can't stop these people because they can never be wrong in their woke racist fantasies.
According to Meena Harris's twisted logic, Ahmed Al-Issa is not white but white men are still bad.
That's how brainwashed people like Siskind and Harris, and Twitter itself, are so lost in the dark undergrowth of regressive progressivism they can't see the sunlight of common sense. There is little hope they will come to their senses any day soon.
Put Ilhan Omar into that mix,she of the "some people did something" notoriety. She believes that "Cops protect the humanity of white mass murderers," even as one cop was killed by the Muslim mass murderer.
She needs reminding that the Atlanta mass murderer was a brown Muslim just like herself. But I expect it would be racist to point out this accurate and truthful comparison.
We white guys are always guilty no matter the identity of the killers.

Is IVERMECTIN the Covid killer drug?

Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC), created and led by Professor Paul E. Marik and Dr. Pierre Kory, recently discovered that IVERMECTIN, an anti-parasitic medicine, has highly potent anti-viral and anti-inflammatory properties against COVID-19. They then identified repeated, consistent, large magnitude improvements in clinical outcomes in multiple, large, randomized and observational controlled trials in both prophylaxis and treatment of COVID-19.

This review is the first to compile sufficient clinical data to demonstrate the strong therapeutic efficacy based on numerous clinical trials in multiple disease phases.

Half the controlled trials were published in peer-reviewed publications, the remainder taken from manuscripts uploaded to medicine pre-print servers. Though it is now standard practice for trials data to immediately influence therapeutic practices during the pandemic, given the controversial therapeutics adopted as a result of this practice, the FLCCC thought it imperative that major national and international health care agencies devote resources to more quickly validate these studies and confirm the major, positive epidemiological impacts that have been recorded when Ivermectin is widely distributed among populations with a high incidence of COVID-19 infections.

One year into the pandemic, little has proven effective to prevent disease progression to prevent hospitalization.  Fortunately, it now appears that IVERMECTIN, a widely used anti-parasitic medicine with known anti-viral and anti-inflammatory properties is proving a highly potent and multi-phase effective treatment against COVID-19.

Although growing numbers of the studies supporting this conclusion have passed through peer review, approximately half of the remaining trials data are from manuscripts uploaded to medical pre-print servers, a now standard practice for both rapid dissemination and adoption of new therapeutics throughout the pandemic.

The FLCCC expert panel, in their prolonged and continued commitment to reviewing the emerging medical evidence base, and considering the impact of the recent surge, has now reached a consensus in recommending that Ivermectin for both prophylaxis and treatment of COVID-19 should be systematically and globally adopted.

The FLCCC recommendation is based on the following set of conclusions derived from the existing data, which will be comprehensively reviewed below:

1) Since 2012, multiple in vitro studies have demonstrated that Ivermectin inhibits the replication of many viruses, including influenza, Zika, Dengue and others.

2) Ivermectin inhibits SARS-CoV-2 replication and binding to host tissue via several observed and proposed mechanisms.

3) Ivermectin has potent anti-inflammatory properties with in vitro data demonstrating profound inhibition of both cytokine production and transcription of nuclear factor-Κb, the most potent mediator of inflammation. 4) Ivermectin significantly diminishes viral load and protects against organ damage in multiple animal models when infected with SARS-CoV-2 or similar coronaviruses.

5) Ivermectin prevents transmission and development of COVID-19 disease in those exposed to infected patients.

6) Ivermectin hastens recovery and prevents deterioration in patients with mild to moderate disease treated early after symptoms

7) Ivermectin hastens recovery and avoidance of ICU admission and death in hospitalized patients.

8) Ivermectin reduces mortality in critically ill patients with COVID-19.

9) Ivermectin leads to striking reductions in case-fatality rates in regions with widespread use.

10) The safety, availability, and cost of Ivermectin is nearly unparalleled given its near nil drug interactions along with only mild and rare side effects observed in almost 40 years of use and billions of doses administered.

11) The World Health Organization has long included Ivermectin on its “List of Essential Medicines”.

The FLCCC in depth studies included;

Pre-Clinical Studies of Ivermectin activity against SARS-CoV-2.

Pre-Clinical studies of Ivermectin’s anti-inflammatory properties.

Exposure prophylaxis studies of Ivermectin’s ability to prevent transmission of COVID-19.

Clinical studies on the efficacy of Ivermectin in treating mildly ill outpatients.

Clinical studies of the efficacy of Ivermectin in hospitalized patients.

Ivermectin in post-COVID-19 syndrome.

Epidemiological data showing impacts of widespread Ivermectin use on population case counts and case fatality rates

The clinical evidence base for Ivermectin against COVID-19 including Controlled trials in the prophylaxis of COVID-19 (8 studies) and Controlled trials in the treatment of COVID-19 (19 studies), and the safety of Ivermectin.

A Discussion and a Conclusion that stated - Based on the existing and cumulative body of evidence, we recommend the use of Ivermectin in both prophylaxis and treatment for COVID-19. In the presence of a global COVID-19 surge, the widespread use of this safe, inexpensive, and effective intervention would lead to a drastic reduction in transmission rates and the morbidity and mortality in mild, moderate, and even severe disease phases.

The Israeli Election. Leading Parties Economic Policies.

In Israel, much of the evening news swirls around the gossip about which party will sit with who in a new government coalition after the voting booth close on March 23.

What has been singularly missing from the chatterbox TV news programs has been the vitally important plans of each party over the future of the Israeli economy.

This brief summary will give you an idea of how each party intends to tackle the economy if gaining power.

This is important as Israel has a deficit estimated to be higher than 40 million shekels according to the Ministry of Finance. It will be the responsibility of a new government, if we get one, to finance this deficit and advance the country.

Assuming that the Likud regains power, the current Finance Minister, Yaakov Katz, has said he has no intention of raising taxes but has refrained from explaining how he intends to lower the deficit.

One of the reasons Israel is holding a March election was because the last coalition could not agree on a budget.

Katz claims that his proposed budget contained provisions that would lead to greater efficiency, investment, and job creation. In the last year, it has been left to innovators and the business community to generate additional income with the signing of joint ventures with the UAE and Bahrain business communities following the Abraham Accords between Israel and moderate Arab states.

Yesh Atid intends to widen the national debt by spending more money in the health system, education, work training for the Arab and the Haredi sectors, and by helping young people who want to set up their own business ventures.

They claim they will cut the costly government ministries to a maximum of eighteen. Most Israelis will think that even eighteen ministries are too many.

Yesh Atid claims they will deal with the deficit by promoting training in trades and technology. They want to raise the number of people employed in innovation from 9% to 15% of the workforce within three years, and then up to 20% within five years.

To help the innovation sector grow, they intend to invest in digital and scientific infrastructure.

They claim they will raise the money to finance this investment by adapting the taxation law to attract hedge funds to bring in the capital that will lead to new jobs.

The Yemina Party, led by Naftali Bennett who made his fortune creating an anti-fraud software company that exited in 2005 with $145 million, intend to apply the Singapore economic strategy of transformation from a production-based economy to an innovation-driven one.

Bennett’s plan calls for a dramatic tax cut for working families and business owners, and by cutting back regulations that are stifling the private sector. They also want to streamline the public sector by cutting back waste and saving money.

Yemina intends to freeze state budgets for five years, compelling the government to become more efficient. They will also do away with certain ministries including those of water and community development.

Gideon Saar’s New Hope Party intends to pass a budget with major structural reforms. They want to increase the competitiveness in sectors including banking, insurance, imports, planning and construction. They also want to reduce bureaucracy in government and national offices.

They also want to incentivize professional training in high productivity sectors, move to full digitalization in all public services which, they hope, will lead to a paperless and queue-less country.

The Labor Party budget reflects the far left ideology of its new leader, Meirav Michaeli.  They will halt investment in Judea & Samaria “in areas that will not remain under Israeli sovereignty in any future settlement and abolish what, in their opinion, are unwanted ministries.

They will raise taxes on the private and commercial sectors to provide greater social services to its citizens.

Benny Ganz’s Blue & White Party that blamed Netanyahu for not passing the Budget when in power, leading to this election, made a vague statement saying that the entire Israeli economy will need an injection of encouragement, and time to recover from the damage inflicted on it. We are already acting to prevent spending anarchy that will deepen the fiscal hole, to encourage a return to work and routine, and to create growth engines that will get the economy going through investment in infrastructure and innovation. The deficit will therefore not be the most urgent matter, and in Blue & White we will do everything to encourage people to return to work and to encourage investment."

Meretz plans to raise taxes on the wealthy, the creation of a new “billionaires tax” and also the introduction of a progressive inheritance tax at rates of 10-20% on inheritances over five million shekels, not including homes.

The Joint Arab List, like Labor and Meretz, will look to expand the deficit in order to alleviate social distress.  They want to save money by cutting the defense and settlement budgets, and impose higher taxation on capital gains and the wealthy.

On the other hand, the Religious Zionist Party want to impose a temporary coronavirus tax on high-paid public sector employees. They are also asking for the abolition of what they call “unnecessary jobs” in the public sector. They also want to see an across the board tax cut making for an easier environment for small businesses.

Support for truth and Israel from John Hopkins School of Public Health

I received this email message from John Hopkins School of Public Health and wish to bring it to your attention.

Dear Barry,

At the end of January, we wrote to you about Global Health Now, the daily newsletter of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, which had outrageously printed a letter-to-the-editor that charged Israel with “Vaccine Apartheid” for allegedly withholding vaccines from Palestinians because of their ethnicity.
Of course, the charge, which we have seen in multiple publications, is false. Israel has not withheld the vaccine from Palestinians. The Oslo Accords assign the responsibility for vaccinating Palestinians to the Palestinian Authority, and the PA Health Ministry stated in December that, “we are working on our own to obtain the vaccine from a number of sources. We are not a department in the Israeli Defense Ministry. We have our own government and Ministry of Health, and they are making huge efforts to get the vaccine.”

Thanks to your persistence, Global Health Now has printed a responsive letter by Bob Pollack, explaining to readers, in part, that:
Based on the Oslo Accords between Israel and the PA, the PA has always had total responsibility for all vaccination programs for its own people. The true “Other Side of the Story” is that Israel has been enormously successful in inoculating ALL of its citizens—Jews, Muslims, Christians, Arabs, Druze, Ethiopians, etc., and even Palestinian prisoners in its jails.

Please share widely.

The Crimes of Authoritarian Covid Mismanagement. A Personal Appeal.

It's possible to have a respectful difference of opinion and a lively debate at the same time over Covid issues.
Many have vilified me, making the elementary mistake in assuming that I am anti-vaccine.
I am not.
I respect anyone's right to make their own decision relating to their personal health. It should not be up to the state to take away that right or to victimize those who does not wish to be vaccinated for a variety of legitimate and sound reasons.
It is also wrong for any government to indoctrinate the section of society that willingly accept their measures to pillory and shame those who do not comply when their measures impinge on their privacy and their bodies.
In Israel today, we have a leader who is attempting to impose heavy restrictions (some would say punishment) on healthy people who, for whatever reason, refuse to be injected with a dubious substance that even the manufacturers do not know the long term consequences, or on those who will not be vaccinated for serious personal health concerns.
These people should not be shamed in the court of public opinion.
The final, and the most consequential and appalling, measure taken by most governments, has been the official prevention on local outpatient doctors from carrying out their sacred Hippocratic Oath to treat their private patients to the best of their ability.
This, in my opinion, has been the greatest crime of all.
This crime is worse that the crimes committed by NYS Governor Cuomo and PA Health Director, Rachel Levine.
They drove infected Covid patients into elderly residential nursing homes killing tens of thousands.
By deliberately preventing our dedicated outpatient doctors from treating us, our national health officials and politicians drove hundreds of thousands into hospitals and death in every
country carrying out the life-threatening policy of the WHO. Namely, self isolate and take paracetamol until you are too sick and then report to the emergency room at your local hospital.
If the day ever arrives when a full investigation is done into the missteps of the handling of Covid it will be found that deceptive measures were deliberately taken to prevent the thorough scientific testing of therapeutic drugs capable of preventing the worsening in the condition of thousands of early stage patients, and the very public defaming of concientious physicians who had carried out their own testing and application and reported such drugs to be safe and effective in preventing and reducing the ravages of the disease.
It was done in the past to damage the reputation of conscientious doctors reporting on the successes of hydroxychloroquine.
The same block is going on today against specialists and doctors reporting even greater successes of a drug named Ivermectin.
One needs to ask, if our hospitals are really so overcrowded with seriously ill Covid patients, why are our local outpatient doctors and clinics blocked from treating early stage patients with harmless drugs that could conceivably prevent us from hospitalization and death?
Instead of shaming our doctors, why not hold national outpatient clinical trials on Ivermectin during this so-called pandemic?
It can be done on the same basis as the imposition of a mass vaccination experiment. Namely, for emergency use only.
If that tag applies to the vaccine, it should equally apply to the development of national IVM outpatient trials.
Israel can be the pioneer of such a national trial. Here, it should be conducted under a top level medical panel headed by Professor Eliezer Schwartz.
An international panel of expert observers should closely analyse the trial pprocess and verify the results so that the world, including the WHO, can feel confident that the trial was properly and fully conducted without taint or favor.
Currently, the results of small local trials find that Ivermectin carries the same, or better, results than offered by the vaccine manufacturers.
Maybe, just maybe, an alternative will be found that will enable those who refuse to be vaccinated to find a safe and effective alternative.

Barry Shaw.

Under-reported terror activity in Sweden.

Earlier this week there was a gruesome terror attack in Sweden that was, as usual, under-reported in Sweden.

A rampaging male with an axe badly injured seven people. Three are in critical condition.
The police got to the scene within minutes and disabled the attacker by shooting him in the leg.
The attacker's identity is being withheld. The only information given is that he is a 22 year-old man and "a citizen of Afghanistan."
Stefan Lovren, the Swedish PC PM, said that terrorism was being investigated "as a possible motive."
One suspects that the Swedish authorities, once they come to their senses and see that it was a terror attack, will declare that the attacker was a deranged individual as they did in 2017 when another terrorist drove a truck into a crowd of Stockholm shoppers killing five people.
Swedish links to Islamic terror attacks are nothing new.
On February 4, 2021, Ethiopia arrested 15 people for a plot to attack the UAE Embassy in Addis Ababa after a Swedish resident by the name of Ahmed Ismail was arrested in connection to the planned attack.
Israel said that 3 of the plotters were Iranian operatives and the motive was to avenge the killing of Qasem Suleimani and Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.
Although Swedish counter-terror works with overseas intelligence services the Swedish public remain uninformed about the presence of Islamic terrorists operating in their country.

The Israeli Election. Latest Polling Numbers and what they portend.

With just two weeks to Israel’s next election on March 23, the latest polling shows further weakening in Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud Party.

In a survey conducted for the Jerusalem Post and Maariv newspapers, the Likud has dropped from 29 to 27 seats.

Despite being quick off the block in obtaining Pfizer, Moderna and the Russian Sputnik vaccines, Netanyahu has been highly criticized by both the public and the medical profession for opening and closing lockdowns that have frustrated large sectors of the community.

The latest storm came days ago when, against the advice of his public health advisors, Netanyahu decided to open up Ben Gurion Airport to allow 3,000 Israelis to return to the country. This was seen as a biased political sop ahead of the March 23 election and the move seems to have backfired on the prime minister.

Netanyahu has lost the votes of small business owners whose livelihoods and bank accounts have suffered by the impositions of repeated lockdowns.

He has also lost the trust of a third of the population who, for whatever reason, will not be vaccinated and are annoyed at being treated like second class citizens for not submitting to a vaccination they do not trust. The Israeli government has, so far, refused to allow a national outpatient trial on the drug Ivermection which has been receiving favorable advance reports where tests have been done in several countries. Such a drug, of proven safe and effective, as seems to be the results in local trials, will help people unable to be vaccinated to avoid or recover from Covid in its early stages, thus reducing the strain on the hospital system.

It is estimated that the Covid issue alone will lose Netanyahu and the Likud at least a million votes.

Add to that the feeling that no prime minister in the midst of a prolonged criminal trial can fully concentrate of the task of leading the country is wearing against Netanyahu whose trial officially began a couple of weeks ago.

Secular middle class Israelis are moving to Yesh Atid, the party of Yair Lapid. This former TV host and journalist does not have a record of any remarkable achievement in his past ministerial posts but his charisma and broad appeal has led his party up to 20 seats and rising in the polls.

Naftali Bennett’s Yemina party has closed the gap on Gideon Saar’s New Hope party, each with 12 seats.

Both politicians are personally in the center-right camp. Gideon Saar comes from the Likud party, held ministerial positions, but broke away after differences with Netanyahu. The same can be said for Naftali Bennett.

The difference between the two is that Saar is an out and out politician but Bennett came into politics with a proven record in hi-tech, successfully guiding a start-up security company to exit for $150M before entering politics. He is more of a technocrat than a parliamentary politician. Though he holds a center right political position, this would not prevent him entering into a coalition with Yesh Atid, although he has stated that he would never serve in a government with Lapid as Prime Minister.

The surprise of the new poll finds Avigdor Liberman’s Israel Home party with nine seats. It is difficult to see from where these extra seats come from. Liberman has been dismissed by many who once supported him. Anecdotally, he retains the trust of some of the Russian community in Israel. If correct, however, Liberman’s nine seats could be a game-changer as it will give additional weight to an anti-Bibi block of parties and be a deadly blow to the Likud being able to form a government.

More of this later.

The Shas party of Arieh Deri, catering to the Sephardi religious community, stays solid with 8 seats, but the Ashkenazi ultra-Orthodox United Torah has slipped to seven seats.

The Arab Joint list has split with the Islamist party breaking away. This has reduced the Arab Joint List to seven seats. It is reported that, in this election, many Arab voters intend to vote for non-Arab parties including some who have said that they would even vote Likud.

The Labour party that seemed dead and buried has seen a revival under the woman in black –she never wears any other color – Michal Michaeli.  Michaeli holds several radical views, one of which is she is against marriage, but she has forcefully reinjected Labour back to life since her recent thrust for the leadership with the poll giving her party five seats.

Parties teetering on the threshold include Blue & White. This is the party of Benny Ganz, the rotational Prime Minister in the last government, now on the edge of extinction.

Two other parties who are on the edge of the required 3.25% electoral votes are on the extremities of the Israeli political map. The hard Socialist Meretz party and the Religious Zionist party representing the settler movement in Judea & Samaria.

The election pivots on the personality of Benjamin Netanyahu. The vote is critically split between those who want Bibi to continue as prime minister and those who want change.

The drift of the last three polls indicate that he is slipping.

Taking the numbers, and trying to form a workable coalition, the blocks are either pro-Bibi, or anti-Bibi and, as we look at the latest poll, if the Religious Zionist party fails to achieve a mandate, there is no way that the Likud can form a required 61 seat majority government.

On the other hand, it is difficult to see, even after the post-election horse-trading, how the parties will be able to put their personal and ideological differences aside to cobble together any form of government that will survive the test of parliamentary bickering should they ever get into power.

Prediction. Unless we get a significant shift in the remaining two weeks, Israel could be on its way to yet another election in September.

The Current Genocide in Ethiopia and the Head of the WHO.

A genocide is happening in Ethiopia.

Dozens of Tigray civilians, men, women and children, were dragged out of their homes, beaten and shot dead. Most of them were Christian.

Tigray is an area in Ethiopia where, for decades, rebels violently tried to establish their own state.

The new US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, has asked for an international investigation into a potential genocide.

Ethiopia is an ethnically diverse country. Tigray represents less than 6% of Ethiopia’s population.

Tedros Adhanom, the Director-General of the World Health Organization, has a shady past and shares responsibility for the fracturing of Ethiopia.

As a young man he became a member of the Marxist Tigray’s People’s Liberation Front, an ethnic-nationalist rebel group.

This organization later became a leading member of the Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front, a coalition of left-wing groups that eventually controlled Ethiopia until last year.

Based on the data of at least ten incidents between 1976 and 1990, during which Tedros was an active member, the TPLF was designated as a terrorist organization.

As a leading TPLF member, Tedros was placed in the country’s health ministry and, because of the TPLF influence, became health minister in 2005.

During his term as health minister there were several allegations that the TPLF engaged in systematic discrimination and human rights abuses, including those involving health issues against the majority Amhara ethnic groups, which included Ethiopian Jews.

In 2010, Human Rights Watch issued a report on how aid in the form of food and fertilizer was withheld from local Amhara villages. Their report criticized Tedros directly, accusing him of using donor-supported resources as a weapon to consolidate power.

During Terror’s reign as health minister, two million Amharis disappeared off the population register.

By the time that Tedros left office, the Amhara region was severely underperforming in all aspects of health, including a massive increase in infant mortality.

Under Tedros’s watch as health minister, there were three major cholera events in Ethiopia. Instead of highlighting these crises to attract international aid, Tedros understated the incidents by referring to them as acute cases of diarrhea.  In fact, they were a deadly condition caused by cholera bacteria infected water. International humanitarian organizations were ordered to call the plague by the letters AWD and not to refer to it as cholera.

Echoes of WHO’s Tedros playing politics rather than health policy were seen when he underplayed the outbreak of the Covid pandemic in China in early 2020.

In Ethiopia, Tedros was more concerned with protecting his incompetence than declare the outbreak of a deadly disease in his country.

A result of his deadly incompetence was the cholera spread into neighboring Somalia. Somalia was able to request cholera vaccines to counter the plague by rightly calling it for what is was. But Tedros was caught in a dilemma of his own making.  Because he had lied Ethiopia was unable to receive cholera vaccines because Tedros had labelled the disease as watery diarrhea.

In 2017, a group of American doctors wrote to Tedros saying “Your silence about what is clearly a massive cholera epidemic in Sudan is reprehensible. The inevitable history of this cholera epidemic will surely cast you in an unforgiving light.”

They accused Tedros of being “fully complicit in the terrible suffering and dying that continues to spread in East Africa.”

But how did this health failure become the head of the global health organization after leaving many thousands dead in his wake in Ethiopia and Somalia?

Never letting a crisis go to waste, Communist China saw an opportunity to step into the breach to help East African countries including Ethiopia and Somalia, and Marxist rebel, Tedros Adhanom, was their man.

Tedros had developed ties with other Marxist politicians in Africa, including Robert Mugabe, the dictator of Zimbabwe.

One of the first things that Tedros Adhanom did when China appointed him head of the World Health Organization was to appoint Mugabe as a goodwill ambassador to the WHO.

But Tedros’s connection with rebels in war-torn Ethiopia is not a thing of the past. Apparently, he has not shed this part of his dark past.

According to Reuters in November 2020, Ethiopia’s military accused Tedros of using his influence to obtain arms and support for the TPLF rebels in the current civil war in Ethiopia.

The Ethiopian army chief of staff called Tedros “a member of that group and a criminal.”

President Donald Trump withdrew the United States from the WHO because of the corruption and international incompetence of the organization under its current leader.

The decision of President Biden to re-enter and pay the World Health Organization should have come with a demand for a more competent leader to replace Tedros Adhanom.

Unfortunately, Biden rushed to rejoin the WHO with no precondition and an opportunity was lost to make the WHO a more ably led organization.
